There are a few important advantages compared to USB:
– You can use long cables, upto 100 meter (USB maximal 5 meter)
– Very robust against EMC noise, therefore this mudule is often used with plasma cutters.
To use this module, it has to be mounted on the CPU5B, all mounting material is included.
Then the CPU5B Ethernet firmware must be downloaded to the board using the configurator tool.
